WWhen thinking about what to pack for your South African adventure, it all really depends on the purpose of your visit. Are you going on a business trip? Are you heading on safari? Maybe you want to tour the length and breadth of this beautiful country.
Ideally, you want to pack light to avoid paying a heavy amount for your luggage at the airport. The trick is to pack only the essentials – camera kit, a good pair of lightweight binoculars, adaptor plugs, toiletries including insect repellent and sunblock. If you have some medication or prescriptions, you’d want to pack those as well. A warm, waterproof jacket is essential all year round.
To document your experiences and adventures, you can pack a notebook or journal in your luggage, or these days that means a laptop. If you’re going on a safari, then it’s wise to pack khaki clothing, especially if you are planning to participate in outdoor activities.
Whatever your plans, it’s best to prepare for them accordingly. And remember only you are responsible for the contents of your suitcase.
