EExperience the ultimate in luxury game reserves at Mala Mala, starting with an early morning game drive, then a lazy lunch, and finally a sunset game drive followed by drinks around the boma (safe enclosure) while listening to the distant roar of lions.
A pioneer in the wildlife experience, Mala Mala is the standard for game viewing, not only in South Africa, but across the continent and world. One of the reasons for this is its abundant wildlife—from the Big Five to birds and insects—its wildlife sightings are famous. Part of the reason for this is that it shares its unfenced eastern boundary with the Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga, which allows the wildlife to move freely between the reserve and park.
The unique location of the riverfront to Mala Mala also means that the animals are in the area all-year long, including the drier winter months. There is two-way traffic as the animals move through Mala Mala to the river and back again. This together with the excellent management of Mala Mala means that if ever you are guaranteed to see the Big Five, it will be at Mala Mala!
WWith no limit on how long you stay at a sighting, this is truly an African wildlife experience. Something the lodge is also well-known for is the switch from hunting safaris to the photographic safaris which are responsible for the success of the lodge. To complete your trip, enjoy the sheer luxury of the three camps, from fine linen, comfort and good food.
