FFreedom Park is a place of inclusivity, tolerance of diversity, trust and transparency. Situated on Salvokop in Pretoria it includes a moving memorial with a list of the names of those killed in the South African Wars, World War I, World War II as well as during the apartheid era.
IIt is a cultural institution with a museum and a memorial dedicated to honouring those who contributed to South Africa's liberation struggle. The museum aims to narrate the story of the African continent - from the dawn of humanity, through pre-colonial, colonial and apartheid history to the South Africa of today.
Freedom Park
IIt provides an empowering heritage destination which mobilises reconciliation and nation building in South Africa; to reflect upon the past, improving the present and building the future as a united nation.
FFreedom Park is where you go if you want to teach and celebrate peace, unity, freedom and human dignity. They invite each and every South African, as well as visitors to the country, to celebrate with them – a place that stands as a monument to humanity and freedom.
