SSituated in the heart of the Eastern Cape’s Karoo, in the charming village of Nieu Bethesda, And The Cow Jumped Over The Moon is the perfect guest house holiday. Our fantastic accommodation makes this the quintessential Karoo escape.

The two self catering units each consist of a lounge with open plan kitchen and bedroom with bathroom en-suite. Accommodation includes a double bed in the bedroom and a sleeper couch in the lounge which allows 4 people a comfortable stay. The units are fully equipped with fans, heaters, electric blankets, stove, fridge, microwave, linen and towels, tea and coffee. All of this combines to make for a very comfortable holiday.

Nieu Bethesda is set in the fertile valley of the Sneeuberg Mountains. It is so secluded that development took a back seat leaving it with a rare historical integrity. It has become a popular retreat for artists and because of its unique appeal, is a place that no holiday maker should miss when visiting the Eastern Cape. Among other things, it is known for the Owl House, a museum dedicated to the work of artist, Helen Martins. Additionally, it has numerous art galleries, coffee and crafts shops, restaurants, a fossil museum, and the Owl House. The Owl House has been made famous for the cement statues created by the artist, Helen Martins.

And The Cow Jumped Over The Moon is the ideal spot for that perfect Karoo holiday.
