BBlackwaters River Lodge is a magical hidden treasure, tucked away in a beautiful valley on the banks of the Goukamma River. Set on several hectares of gardens surrounded by indigenous forest that offers peace, quiet and relaxation. Situated near Knysna just off the N2 in the Garden Route.
Consisting of 17 beautifully decorated luxury rooms, all with a touch of nature. Each with a full en-suite bathroom, patio or wooden deck. Riverview rooms (5) look down on the valley and over the Goukamma River. Forestview rooms (5) look out into the pristine forests and pool area. Gardenview rooms (7) face onto the golf course and gardens.
Activities include: 9 hole mashie golf course, canoeing, stand-up paddling, forest hiking, cycling, walks, grass volleyball, croquet, bocce, swing ball, swimming pool, bird watching and river picnics along the riverbank.
Next to the pool is a lounge with a ladies bar, plasma screen satellite television and log fires to warm up the winter months.
Experience our intimate rustic eatery what was originally the tractor shed is now a cosy indoor dining area and out-side deck overlooking the mashie golf course. Restaurant bookings essential and fully licensed. Order a pre-arranged deli picnic basket 24 hours in advance to enjoy by the river while spending the day soaking up the peace and tranquility with friends and family.
