OOVERVIEW: The Queen’s Hotel is nestled in the heart of Oudtshoorn, South Africa. It is the third oldest hotel in South Africa and was built in 1880. Skilfully renovated using only the finest materials, the Queen’s Hotel offers colonial style accommodation and service that is reminiscent of a by-gone era. OUR ROOMS: The Queen’s Hotel has 40, beautifully furnished en-suite bedrooms (eleven double rooms, twenty five twin rooms, two triple rooms & two deluxe rooms). The hotel can easily accommodate up to +/- 82 people in total per night. The decor of these uniquely decorated rooms combines cherished antique aesthetics with crisp & tranquil colours, which are modern & light. All rooms are air-conditioned with television (DSTV), WIFI, clock radio, direct dial telephone and coffee & tea making facilities. Most bathrooms have a bath, with overhead shower, but deluxe rooms include a separate shower and is available upon reservation. Bathrooms are en-suite & contain towelling & toiletry amenities. CAFE BRULE: Light meals from 07:00 - 17:00. Freshly baked bread for sale daily. Dish up & weigh buffet on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 12:00 & 14:00. Books for Cooks for sale at CafÃ© BrulÃ©. Other fresh product include rusks, cakes, olives, jams, olive oils and more… THE COLONY RESTAURANT: The Colony Restaurant at The Queen’s Hotel is an excellent example of the latest trend in serving delectable meals at a well-known hotel. The rich, warm colours inside the restaurant creates a charming, endearing atmosphere, with beautiful, enigmatic prints of ostriches and African themes to enhance the original, unique feel of The Colony’s rustic setting. The Colony Restaurant is renowned for its award winning A ‘La Carte Menu with a wide variety of exquisite cuisine to choose from. The Restaurant also boasts a complete wine list, including some popular wines from the district.
