Overview

RRedford House is the perfect accommodation for your stay in Plettenberg Bay in the Garden Route. It is a four star historic country guest house in The Crags within a 22 hectare estate. This is set against the backdrop of the majestic Tsitsikamma mountains which go down to the magnificent beaches of Nature's Valley, Keurbooms and Plettenberg Bay. Not long ago, this forested area used to teem with elephant, buffalo and leopard, and even to-day, leopard, caracal, bushpig, bushbuck, baboons, monkeys, smaller animals, beautiful birds and water fowl still inhabit the area.

Redford House is within a nature conservancy with strong environmental principles and alien clearing projects.  Redford was an original English settler's farm and the old farmhouse and barn have been sympathetically restored, forming part of the present guest house complex. Architectural heritage is taken seriously at Redford House and you will sense the history when you come to stay. And if Art is your fancy there are art course available on site.

At Redford House we respect nature and take our lead from nature. We enjoy removing alien vegetation and watching nature regenerate and thrive. We never use posions because of how it would affect the frogs and we have no mosquitoes because of this! We have great respect for water as a resource and our very own vegetable garden is purely organic.
