BBallito is fast becoming a popular seaside destination for travellers hoping to escape the hustle and bustle of Durban. Located on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, the tranquil seaside town lies at the heart of the famous Dolphin Coast, which gets its name from the many dolphins dancing in the waves along the shoreline.

Besides its Blue Flag beaches, Ballito is famous for its microlight flight excursion along the coastline. Participants take off at Tinley Manor, a 10-minute drive out of Ballito, and can either go northwards up to the Tugela River Mouth, or south past Salt Rock, Ballito to Zimbali. Ballito Microlights offer tours.
