Brookdale Estate

TThe recently opened Brookdale Manor House at Brookdale Estate is situated in the historic Paarl Winelands, approximately one hour from Cape Town. The property’s opening has been one of the most unexpected and enchanting hotel openings of the year in South Africa.

The Manor House has five en-suite rooms in the main house with a sixth private en-suite bedroom in the building adjacent to the Manor House. The property can also be booked on an exclusive use basis for up to 12 adults and two children under the age of 12 years.

The Manor House has expansive communal living spaces including a living room, library, entertainment room, dining room, study, breakfast room and kitchen. The outdoor areas consists of multiple terraces with panoramic views of the dramatic mountains and wine valley. The property also has manicured gardens, a pool house and a pool terrace where guests can relax and enjoy a glass of wine from one of Brookdale’s extensive wine range.

PPersonalised experiences are the hallmark of Brookdale Manor and this extends to the culinary landscape created by Executive Chef Gary Coetzee. The estates prides itself on its wellness philosophy and this is characteristic in their food, which is low in food miles but full of flavour and tailored to the tastes of their guests.

There are a number of walking trails for active guests who enjoy the outdoors and picnics, private wine tastings, cooking classes and wellness treatments can be arranged at an additional cost. The property offers a range of inclusive experiences which guests can enjoy while staying at the Manor House; this includes a fitness room, board games, garden games, wine tastings, wine activities, tractor rides and cookie baking for children,

TThe town of Paarl is a little known gem located within the Cape Winelands. Paarl is a tranquil part of the winelands which offers adventure, history, food and wine. This section of the Cape Wine Route is incredibly understated and is a good base for travellers to explore the wider Cape Wine Route.
