MMenlyn Park deserves its reputation as one of South Africa’s greatest shopping destinations for local and international visitors alike. Along with hundreds of shops, the centre is home to a rooftop drive-in cinema, the Barnyard Theatre and Galaxy World, which provide exciting entertainment for shoppers.
Menlyn Park in welcoming Pretoria is so popular with South Africans that many shoppers from Johannesburg prefer to drive to Menlyn in Pretoria instead of doing their shopping in one of their closer malls. The spacious centre is one of Africa’s biggest and is conveniently situated along the N1 highway.
It is hard to think of an item that you will be unable to buy at the prestigious Menlyn Park, which boasts all the country’s main chain stores but is also home to an impressive array of speciality shops. Scuba diving gear, designer dresses, a cup of delicious coffee or a three-course meal: it won’t take you long to find it in Menlyn.
WWhen it comes to entertainment, the Menlyn experience is hard to beat. For starters, there is the big screen at the Menlyn Drive-In. This was the first drive-in in the world that was built on top of a shopping centre. It makes a great family outing and the later shows are popular with romantics, who can hire an old Cadillac and enjoy the latest blockbuster movies at an affordable price.

IIf you’re a movie-lover, you can also visit Menlyn's Nu Metro cinema complex, a Pretoria favourite. A branch of the Barnyard Theatre is also situated in the mall, along with Galaxy World. This is an entertainment centre that offers plenty of activities to keep the entire family entertained in the evening. There is a 12-lane ten-pin bowling alley, more than 100 state-of-the-art arcade games, pool tables and a cocktail bar and terrace.
This Pretoria shopping centre has an incredible floor space of 115 000 square metres, which is well used by the centre's more than 1,5 million monthly visitors.
