BBadplaas a Forever Resort has withstood the test of time and this resort is a pillar in the industry, not only in Mpumalanga, but also in South Africa. The resort was part of many changes, changes in our history, changes in our economy and changes in our industry, but Badplaas stood steadfast. The resort does not only play a part in the industry, but is a major contributor to economic and social change and upliftment in our area.
Badplaas has become legendary for family leisure breaks and is a firm favourite amongst conference delegates. A superb hydro, bountiful game and a treasure chest of entertainment await guests at Badplaas, nestled within a nature reserve at the foot of the Hlumuhlumu Mountains. At Badplaas there is so much to do and so little time!
The resort offers 162 self-catering chalets and rondavels. Accommodation varies from one bedroom to three bedroom units, sleeping between 1 and 8 guests. The rondavels were upgraded at the end of 2016 and all our units now offer luxury finishes. A number of our units have a spectacular view of the mountains and our game reserve, whilst others are located in lush gardens and next to the river. The units are fully equipped and get serviced on a daily basis. Our units won many national awards, including the prestigious national Lilizela Award in both 2014 and 2015. We realise that in order to be the leader in the market we have to keep improving and upgrading our units. We have started with major upgrades in 2016 and we have completed our supermarket, liquor store, hotel, conference venues and our Rondavels. Our Hydro & Spa will be upgraded in 2017. Badplaas also have 300 powered campsites and 6 ablution blocks servicing the sites.
