SStop Hunger Now is an organisation with an aim to fight the “world’s greatest solvable problem” – hunger. Through educating the world, specifically donors, beneficiaries, volunteers and suppliers, their mission is to eradicate child hunger. With the help of the many enthusiastic volunteers from South African Tourism and Stop Hunger Now, the food parcels packed on Friday, 15 July at Sandton Convention Centre definitely made a positive impact on this ongoing battle.

This year, the theme of the International Mandela Week Meal Packaging event, which is also a global movement affair to stop malnutrition among children, was “Follow the Sun”. Volunteers in cities across South Africa including Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and East London packed meals daily between the 13th and 20th of July for this great cause.
