IIn line with this year’s Tourism Month theme “Tourism for all: Promoting Universal Accessibility”, the travelling teams will – over the next seven weeks – answer some of the important questions that South Africans ask when planning their getaways – i.e. Is it value for money? Is it pet friendly? Close to the city? What is the range of activities?
Go to the website and watch as the team of intrepid travellers share their adventures. Through an online digital platform like this, South Africans across the country can like, share and comment on the adventures, and even suggest other must-see hidden gems. The public is given the opportunity to win a short getaway to the destination of the week courtesy of South African Tourism.
The team is comprised of 12 travellers, each with a unique perspective of their beautiful country. The one thing they all have in common – they love to travel and want to share it with the world.
Kicking off in the quaint town of Cullinan, 30km east of Pretoria and situated along the diamond route, the team then moved on to visit the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre, the Aerial Cableway at Hartbeespoort Dam, Bill Harrop’s Balloon Safaris, Mphebatho Cultural Museum, the Moruleng Precinct in Rustenburg, the Canopy Tour in Magaliesburg, the Sterkfontein Caves and Maropeng.
Follow the #702RoadTrip team weekly as they discover and enjoy South Africa.
